Bad Bad Bad! Come on people…

The traffic cons are out again, and taking your $49.97!

I found a product the other day called… Instant Booster…

The sales letter was vague, but I thought what the heck. I had already had two people email me asking about it, and I thought I’d try it out and see…

No, it doesn’t work. AT ALL…. Stay away from this product!

A few others are reporting the SAME thing… Read on for more reviews…

It primarily submits to FFA sites (357 FFa Sites, 73 Classified Sites and 73 SE’s, including Google, Yahoo, Lycos, etc.

Interesting sidenote - in submitting to the FFA Sites, the software signs you up to their mailing lists. That’s not mentioned anywhere that I have found yet, so users will be unknowingly signing up to multiple mailing lists as most of the FFA sites don’t send a confirmation email (it looks like 10 or 12 of them did).

So far, the only result is that I’ve received 2,119 emails (these all got delivered to Gmail’s Spam folder) and the count is growing now at a steady rate of about 10 per minute.

I’m glad I used a throwaway domain and email address for this - should be interesting to see how much email and traffic I actually get.

Mike also makes a valid point here…

efore buying anything on the Internet, you should always ask those whose advice you trust about it first. In Joseph’s case, when I saw the sales page, I tried to look at it from the perspective of a real “Beginner” to Internet Marketing.

Obtaining large amounts of traffic is a critical issue for IM’ers and a huge selling point if a product can deliver as promised. Regardless of how good or bad the sales page is, you have to remember what’s motivating the decision to purchase – greed!

If a product can circumvent or shortcut the traffic building process as this one claimed, then it’s going to grab the attention of a lot of people, especially “Beginners”. What’s worse is many people are afraid of being labeled “Professional Refunders” so they will hesitate to ask for or demand a refund if the product fails to perform as promised.

In my own forum as well as here, I think it’s important we look out for one another and steer fellow Warriors away from truly bad deals. I’m not inferring that we should bash products and certainly not people, but should objectively report back on both the positive and negative aspects of the product’s performance.

When someone throws up a sales page with a lot of hype, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect the product to live up to the sales pitch. Far too often we hear only glowing reports about product A or B, and everyone is afraid to step in and say, “Gee, I bought that and it just didn’t work for me.”

Good, bad or indifferent, a product should be open to negative comments just as well as good comments if mentioned in the forum – the important thing to remember is to keep it objective and stick to the facts when commenting about something.

Here are a few tips when considering buying a product or joining a program:

1. No matter how much you’re pressured – wait a minimum of 3 days to buy.
2. During that time, research the product at places like the Warrior forum.
3. Ignore ALL testimonials you read about it – instead, get at least 3 opinions from people you can trust.
4. Make sure that the product comes with a guarantee.

If you buy the product and it does not live up to it’s claims, then ask for a refund. If you are ignored or they fight you on it, you can sometimes obtain a refund through the payment processor.

If all else fails, and you are POSITIVE that the product does not work as indicated on the sales page, you can pursue other methods such as charge backs (if you paid by credit card), etc.

My feeling that if a sales page clearly says the product will do something, then it damn well better do it or they can expect a refund.

Don’t walk away from your purchases feeling ripped off – hold the seller accountable!
