This report isn’t entirely on Adsense… It’s about some big changes that Google is implementing that have A LOT of people pretty shook up. I suggest you get it. Download it. Read it, and USE it. If you are or are wanting to earn money from Adsense it’s very important that you read this free report.

FYI the author has included a free software at the end of the report that will really help those of you needing articles with certain keywords in them. This alone is just too cool!!

    Hi Liz,
Just wanted to point out about the “big brother report and the software attached to it.
As you may know I occassionally hang out in the Warrior forum and am a member of big Mikes forum.
I posted in both forums about the report and software.
The forum posts turned up some interesting comments:
All of the information is months out of date.
The author is using scare tactics to sell products he is releasing later.
The software “orwell” sends articles back to a centralized server, which may be gathering articles for the authors own database, which may be against the article directories policies.
the software is sending a lot of information back to the server
The outcome of my post was – you’re taking a huge risk using it.
I did try the program and found it to be useful, but in light of spyware and other considerations I deleted it from my computer.
The software is aptly named “Orwell” - beware big brother may be watching you, and it’s not google! in this case buyer beware.
I personally cannot sustantiate any of these comments, but the authors are well know, and respected Internet marketers.
    Have a great day.
    Paul

    Hey Paul!

    Thanks for the comments…

I love the Warrior Forum. It’s my favorite forum besides my own :) However, sometimes things get really blown out of proportion over there…

I would like to know what information in the report is out of date for one. Yes that is a challenge… :)

Of course the offer is using scare tactics to sell. It’s a marketing tactic that WORKS. When we have snow days here in the South, it’s all over the news to run to the store and get milk and bread. People end up running to the store, fighting over the last loaf of bread or the last gallon of milk. No one stops to think that maybe it wont snow (and it usually doesn’t), or that even if it DOES snow we only get a couple of inches. They hear GO, and they GO…

If Jason is using this as you said

“The software “orwell” sends articles back to a centralized server, which may be gathering articles for the authors own database, which may be against the article directories policies. the software is sending a lot of information back to the server”

If this is the case someone will find out, and hang Jason by his balls. He’s smart… REAL smart, and I don’t think he would jeopardize his big launch by doing something this stupid.

    You also said….

“but in light of spyware and other considerations I deleted it from my computer.”

Again, they would have him by his balls for it… I GUARANTEE it!

We all have opinions of well respected marketers Jason Potash, who is behind all of this is considered a very respectable marketer.

I invite you to invite anyone who has information backing these claims up to post here….

Wow three posts and already some controversy… *lol* I told everyone this was going to be a no BS blog… :)

Thanks a million for posting Paul!

    Hi Liz,
As with most things, just be cautious.
As far as the information being out of date, the information in the report is months out of date
and should only have those who use black hat adsense techniques worried.
The report simply repeats what Google’s terms of service have been saying for quite a while now.

Do a search for the jagger updates, or check these links:
    www.pandia.com/sew/112-on-the-google-jagger-algo-update-part-1.html
    blog.searchenginewatch.com/blog/051107-151659
The reports will give you an idea about what google is trying to do mainly:
Google is not big brother, just trying to cut down on black hat technique, website owners.
Also check out the thread at the Warriors forum:
    www.WarriorForum.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=59301

Admitedly I could not find any indication of spyware (using what spyware tools I have), but after reading the report, using the software, watching both forum responses and researching what google is really trying to do, a red flag went up for me.

If all is above board with this software, then that’s great.
I do not have a problem with the author of the report, or the software.

Personally, I like reports that tell it the way it is, no bullshit; bottom line, fear does certainly not work to make me buy something.

I got an education from the “big brother report”, by investigating for myself; I suggest that any readers here do the research, and make an informed decision about this software.

I have had so many problems with viruses and spyware that I am very cautious when what seems like a good software application is free; free software always makes me wonder, why is it free?

    Have a great day.
    Paul

  4. Liz Tomey Says:

    Paul,

I’m still trying to see your point…

#1 What is out of date?

#2 There’s no spyware so what’s wrong with the software?

The report has a lot of good information in it. Only the last page or so even talks about Jasons new product which I plan on buying as soon as it comes out… :)

You act like this software builds websites or is something evil.. All it does it takes an article tells you what the keyword density of it is, and then turns it into HTML for you.

What’s blackhat about that? What’s evil or bad about that?

Now harassing you at all Paul, and I want everyone to know that Paul is a good friend of mine, so don’t take these comments wrong. *lol*

    Liz

    Hi Liz,
No offence taken on my part.
If you check out the warrior link at:
    www.WarriorForum.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=60984
You may see my point, as Big Mike stated the software does indeed send info back to a central server.

There is a data sharing function, that users of the software were not told about, but since the controvosy continued (since my first warrior post about the big brother report) in another thread, the authors of the software are now saying there is an off button (which is on by default) for this function, which is hidden somewhere?

My concern is that the software may be able to access my Hard Drive info, when in the data sharing mode, that is all!

The postings in the above warrior thread may seem paranoid, but they are valid questions. I may use the software, if my questions in the warrior post are answered.
I have had too many computer problems lately due to viruses and spyware to not be cautious.

I think bad and evil are strong words (which I did not use), as long as people are made aware, and the software authors are not hiding anything, that is fine. If that is the case, then, like you, I do not see a problem with using this software.

Anyway have a great day Liz.
    Looking forward to your classes.
    Paul

  6. Jez Lacey Says:

    Hi Liz,
What people seem to be getting bogged down with in this report is the tactics that Jason is using to sell his product. What is not at fault is the actual message of the report.

Google is currently suffering a huge backlash from its adwords subscribers due to the enormous volume of poor quality results in the SERPS. We have all seen the auto page generator programs and programs that scrape content from article directories. Do you not all think google has too?

Big brother is just Jason’s way of scaring you into using his product, but the points he makes are valid. If you use cloaking, article scraping, auto page generation or duplicated content on your sites (among other things), google will be cracking down on you. Thats a fact, and I for one am starting to (I am glad to say) see an imporved in the SERPS as result of this policy.

I do not use softawre such as orwell due to the simple fact that I do not trust it. The only way in which I use softawre such as this is to gather content on a specific niche which I can rewrite for my own use.

That is just my consdered opinion, so please do whatever you feel is right. Thank you.

  7. Liz Tomey Says:

    Hey Jez!

    Thanks for the comments….

You made a lot of good points.

I still don’t see the fear in the software. Just doesn’t make sense to me to fear it???

At any rate, I am using it, and LOVE it. Especially with the new update that just came out for it. Now it has a search function and you just can’t beat that.

Yes, using duplicate content does hurt you, however you can use it and original content, and it doesn’t look to the se’s as duplicate content. :)

Hi Liz, I relly like the style of this Blog, the discussions and input about products that affect all of us involved in online sales and marketing. The top subject is always information, as that is the main principle (in my personal opinion), then it is how well we use the knpwledge attained of course. I did not understand the google adwords etc. Problem to well, thanks for converting it into straght forward terms, I am no Einstein but I can now start to see where web traders and facilitators, in a relative context. Liz Tomey, you have done it again, Thabkyou! Fred

  9. Fred Monck Says:

Hi Liz, I know I just posted but i looked over the report that is given away free, and I see even clearer now why this has become somewhat of a contentious issue. The subject was an interesting read, even though this is about the fourth time of reading it, I could not relate in real terms the message trying to be conveyed, so I did not download it, I have some exceptional online marketers that I am fortunate to trade with.
